LCSD reports COVID-19 case

The Leisure & Cultural Services Department today said a worker who provides plant maintenance services in Sham Shui Po has tested positive for COVID-19.   The worker had been identified as a close contact of a confirmed case and was notified yesterday that she had tested positive for the virus.   She has no recent travel history and last worked on February 10. She wore surgical masks when performing her duties and her body temperature was normal when undergoing temperature screening at work.   Thorough cleaning and sterilisation at the work areas concerned and all related public facilities have been arranged.   Additionally, a technical officer of the Transport Department has tested preliminarily positive for the virus.   The officer works on 15/F, South Tower, West Kowloon Government Offices and the floor concerned is not open to the public.   He has no recent travel history and last performed duties this morning. He wore face masks when performing tasks and followed relevant disease prevention measures at work.   His workplace, including the common areas, will also be fully cleaned and sterilised.
